New Nuncio in Togo/Benin

Le nouveau
Nonce Apostolique pour le Bénin et le Togo, notre confrère Mgr Michael
August Blume est arrivé au Bénin le 5 novembre dernier. Le lendemain
il a célébré la Messe pontificale à la cathédrale de Cotonou. Le 10
novembre il est arrivée au Togo et a rendu tout de suite visite aux
confrères de la Maison régionale à Lomé et aux Postulants (voir
photos). Le 15 novembre 2005 il a présidé la Messe inaugurale à la cathédrale de Lomé entouré de tous les évêques du Togo (voir photos). L'archevêque de Lomé a souligné l'héritage de la SVD au Togo et les racines SVD du nouveau Nonce Apostolique. La région du Togo/Bénin est fière de l'accueillir comme Nonce Apostolique et confrère, a souligné le Supérieur Régional lors de la toute première rencontre. |

The new
Apostolic Nuncio in Benin and Togo, our confrere Mgr Michael August
Blume arrived to Benin on the 5th of November. The next day he has
celebrated a pontifical Mass at the catedral of Cotonou. On the 10th
of Novemeber he has arrived to Togo and visited our confreres in the
Regional house in Lomé and our Postulancy (cf. photos).
On the 15th of November 2005 he has celebrated the inaugural Mass at the cathedrale of Lomé with all bishops from Togo (cf. photos). Archbishop of Lomé has underlined our SVD heritage in Togo and the spiritual sources of the new Apostolic Nuncio.
