Introduction

it einem vorweihnachtlichen Gruß aus der Ewigen Stadt schicke ich Dir eine von mir verkürzte Fassung der Botschaft des Papstes zum Weltfriedenstag und empfehle besonders die Abschnitte 6 bis 10 zur weiteren Lektüre.

Ich wünsche, dass wir auch im Neuen Jahr 2005 weiterhin Gerechtigkeit (Schuldenfrage und Menschenrechte), Frieden (besonders in unseren Familien oder Gemeinschaften) und Bewahrung der Schöpfung (Klimawandel und unser Lebensstil) leben, um so Zeugen SEINES REICHES zu sein.

Dafür gebe Gott uns Kraft

 on un saludo prenavideño de mando una versión más corta del mensaje del papa para el día mundial de la Paz (1 de enero del 2005). Te recomiendo de manera especial las partes 6 al 10.

Deseo que en el Año Nuevo 2005 podamos vivir de manera más justa (promoviendo los Derechos Humanos y el tema de la deuda externa), de manera pacífica (en especial en nuestras familias y comunidades) y ciudando la creación (nuestro estilo de vida y el tema del cambio climático), para dar así testimonio de SU REINO.

Que Dios te dé fuerza y salud

 ith my Christmas greetings I am sending you a shorter version of the Popes Peace message 2005. I recommend you in a special way the parts 6–10.

I wish you the best for the New Year 2005. Hopefully we can put in practice some issues regarding a more just world (specially the questions of Human Rights and Debt) a more peaceful world (specially in our families and communities) and taking care of the creation (specially our lifestyle and the consequences for the world climate). So we can give better witness of HIS KINGDOM.
