Unmoralische Gesetze darf niemand befolgen

Die Steyler Missionare protestieren gegen die Abschiebung integrierter Familien

ls katholische Ordensgemeinschaft protestieren wir entschieden gegen die Abschiebung bereits integrierter Asylwerber, von denen die Medien jetzt allseits berichten. Diese Vorge-hensweise widerspricht zutiefst christlichen Werten wie dem vorrangigen Schutz der Armen, unabhängig von Rasse, Herkunft und Religion, und der grundsätzlichen Gleichheit aller Men-schen. Viele unserer Ordensmitglieder haben selbst in anderen Kulturen gelebt oder sind aus anderen Ländern nach Österreich gekommen.

Österreich hat 2005 eine fremdenfeindliche Gesetzgebung eingeführt – gegen den Protest vieler Gruppen. Unmenschliches Vorgehen wie in diesen Fällen kann nicht moralisch gerecht-fertigt werden, weil die Gesetze, auf die man sich beruft, selbst ungerecht sind – unmoralische Gesetze darf niemand befolgen.

Es ist ein Skandal, dass Parteien, die sich christlich oder sozial nennen, diese Gesetze be-schlossen haben und jetzt auch noch verteidigen. Dadurch wird offenbar, dass Österreich nicht an der oft geforderten Integration interessiert ist, weil gerade integrierte Familien zerris-sen und abgeschoben werden.

Die Migration ist ein komplexes Phänomen, das menschliche Lösungen sehr schwer macht. Daher fordern die Steyler Missionare in Österreich die Politiker und Gesetzgeber des Landes auf, diese Gesetze schnellstens wenigstens den Forderungen der übergeordneten Menschenrechte anzupassen. Die Abschiebungen integrierter Familien müssen sofort ausgesetzt werden.

Wir verstehen die Aktionen zivilen Ungehorsams und begrüßen die Nachbarschaftshilfe, die von Abschiebung bedrohte Familien vor dem Zugriff der Polizei schützen. Wir fordern die Kirchen zu einer klaren Stellungnahme auf, die jedem Versuch einer gesetzlichen Legitimierung von Rassismus, Religionsfeindlichkeit und Sippenhaftung widersteht. Darüber hinaus ist von den Christen und Menschen guten Willens eine Praxis der Mitmenschlichkeit gefordert, die eine effektive Integration und ein friedliches Zusammenleben in unserem Land ermöglichen.

Nobody should follow immoral laws

Divine Word Missionaries protest against the expulsion of integrated families

s a Catholic religious community we strongly protest against the expulsion of asylum seekers already integrated [into Austrian society] now widely reported in the media. This manner of acting deeply contradicts Christian values like preferential protection of the poor independent of race, origin and religion, and the fundamental equality of all people. Many members of our religious community have themselves lived in other cultures or have come to Austria from other countries.

In 2005 Austria has introduced “xenophobic” laws – against the protests of many groups. The inhuman procedure used in cases like these cannot be justified morally because the laws which are invoked are themselves immoral - nobody should follow immoral laws.

It is scandalous that parties which call themselves Christian or social have passed such laws and now even defend them. Thus it becomes clear that Austria is not interested in the much vaunted integration since it is precisely integrated families which are torn apart and expelled.

Migration is a complex phenomenon for which there are no easy “humane” solutions. The Divine Word Missionaries in Austria, therefore, call on the politicians and lawmakers of the country at the earliest opportunity to at least bring these laws into harmony with the demands of overriding human rights. The expulsion of integrated families must be stopped at once.

We understand the actions of civil disobedience and welcome the neighborly help extended to protect families threatened by expulsion from arrest by the police. We appeal to the Churches to come up with a clear statement opposing any legitimation of racism, religious intolerance, and collective responsibility on the basis of [existing] laws. Furthermore, Christians and persons of good will are asked to practice a human solidarity which will assure an effective integration and peaceful co-existence in our country.

Nadie debe obedecer a leyes inmorales

Misioneros del Verbo Divino protestan contra expulsión de familias integradas

omo comunidad religiosa católica protestamos decididamente contra la expulsión de refugiados ya integrados, de los que en estos días informan los medios. Estas acciones contradicen valores profundamente cristianos como la protección de los pobres, sin consideración de raza, origen y religión, y la igualdad fundamental de todas las personas. Muchos de los miembros de nuestra congregación han vivido ellos mismos en otras culturas o han venido a Austria desde otros países.

En oposición a la protesta de muchos grupos, Austria introdujo en el 2005 una legislación hostil a los extranjeros. Los procedimientos inhumanos no pueden justificarse invocando estas leyes, porque estas leyes mismas son injustas: nadie debe cumplir con leyes inmorales.

Es un escándalo que partidos que se denominan cristianos o sociales hayan establecido estas leyes y ahora también las defiendan. A través de ellas demuestran que Austria no está interesada en la frecuentemente proclamada integración, cuando destruye y expulsa precisamente a familias ya integradas.

La migración es un fenómeno complejo, que hace muy difíciles las soluciones humanas. Por eso los Misioneros del Verbo Divino de Austria piden a las políticos y legisladores del país que asuman el desafío de adaptar lo antes posible estas leyes a las exigencias superiores de los derechos humanos. La expulsión de familias integradas debe detenerse inmediatamente.

Comprendemos las acciones de quienes asumen actitudes de desobediencia civil y felicitamos la ayuda de vecinos que protegen a las familias afectadas de la acción policial. Animamos a las Iglesias a tomar posiciones claras que se opongan a todo intento de legitimación legal del racismo, la enemistad religiosa y del etnocentrismo. Además animamos a los cristianos y a las personas de buena voluntad a que hagan posible una integración efectiva y una pacífica convivencia en nuestro país.
