publicación, es “Vivir el diálogo profético: Espiritualidad,
comunidad, liderazgo, finanzas, formación”. Al ofrecer una panorámica
de las variadas actividades misioneras de la Congregación por todo el
mundo, este libro refleja las diversas formas en las que se vive
concretamente el diálogo profético en las diferentes provincias,
regiones y misiones de la Congregación. Las páginas de este libro
contienen una rica recopilación de hechos y datos, y una interesante
descripción de situaciones y actividades. Pero detrás de los hechos y
los datos está la carne y la sangre de los misioneros, con sus gozos y
penas, esperanzas y sufrimientos, éxitos y fracasos. De hecho, entre
las líneas del libro están escritas las historias de los cohermanos
SVD que se esfuerzan por vivir el diálogo profético compartiendo sus
vidas con sus hermanos y hermanas, frecuentemente de otras culturas,
lenguas y religiones.

theme of the XVI General Chapter, for which this publication has been
prepared, is Living Prophetic Dialogue: Spirituality, Community,
Leadership, Finances, Formation. By offering an overview of the
Society’s varied missionary activities around the world, this book
mirrors the various ways in which prophetic dialogue is being
concretely lived out in the various provinces, regions and missions of
the Society. The pages of this book contain a rich compilation of
facts and figures and an interesting description of situations and
activities. But behind the facts and figures are flesh and blood
missionaries – with their joys and griefs, hopes and sorrows,
successes and failures. Indeed, between the lines of this book are
written the stories of SVD confreres who strive to live prophetic
dialogue by sharing their lives with their sisters and brothers, often
of other cultures, languages and religions.
