Collegio Celebrates Jubilee
A solemn Eucharist was celebrated in the Collegio chapel, officiated by Fr. Jorge and con-celebrated by the other jubilarians, to mark the occasion. The celebrations were made memorable by the presence of the confreres from the three SVD communities in Rome and sisters from SSpS generalate, Via Cassia. The spiritual event followed a sumptuous meal. The jubilarians were given small gifts by Rector Fr. Timothy LENCHAK as a gesture of appreciation and thanks for the years of missionary life and service they have rendered for the Word in the world. |
Celebración de jubileos en el Collegio
Para conmemorar esta ocasión, se celebró una Eucaristía solemne en la capilla del Collegio, presidida por el P. Jorge y concelebrada por los otros que festejaban el jubileo. La celebración fue memorable a causa de la presencia de los cohermanos de las tres comunidades SVD de Roma y de las Hermanas del Generalato SSpS de Vía Cassia. Al acontecimiento espiritual le siguió una magnífica comida. A los que celebraban el jubileo el Rector, el Timothy LENCHAK les entregó pequeños regalos como gesto de aprecio y para darles las gracias por los años de vida misionera y de servicio que han entregado por el Verbo en el mundo. |

Collegio del Verbo Divino, Rome, felicitated six confreres who
celebrated their jubilees of priestly ordination and religious
profession this year. It was a grace-filled occasion for the three
SVD communities in Rome to come together. Frs. David STREIT (Asst.
Secretary General) and Jorge Manuel FERNANDES (Praeses - Nemi) on
their 40th anniversary of priestly ordination, Superior General Fr.
Antonio M. PERNIA on the 40th year of his religious profession, Frs.
Arlindo Pereira DIAS (General Councilor) and Henryk Piotr
SZYMICZEK (house treasurer, Collegio) on their 25 years of
religious profession, and Fr. Thomas PERINGALLOOR, (Rector -
Collegio San Pietro) on his 25th year of priestly ordination,
were specially honored during the celebrations.

es habitual, el 22 de noviembre de 2009, festividad de Cristo Rey,
el Collegio del Verbo Divino de Roma celebró los jubileos de
votos religiosos y ordenación sacerdotal de seis cohermanos en el
año 2009. Fue una apropiada ocasión para el encuentro de las tres
comunidades SVD de Roma. Los que celebraron su jubileo fueron: David
STREIT (Ayudante del Secretario General) y Jorge Manuel FERNANDES (Praeses
de Nemi) que celebraban el 40 aniversario de su ordenación
sacerdotal, el Padre Superior General, Antonio M. PERNIA a los 40
años de su profesión religiosa, los Padres Arlindo Pereira Dias
(Consejero General) y Henryk Piotr SZYMICZEK (Ecónomo del
Collegio) a sus 25 años de profesión religiosa, y el Padre
Thomas PERINGALLOOR, (Rector del Collegio San Pietro) a los
25 años de ordenación sacerdotal.
