The Anti-Christian violence
in Khandhamals, Orissa in 2007/2008

[Christians were the target of organized attacks in the civil district of Khandhamals in the Archdiocese of Mons. Cheenath, after a Hindu Sanyasi was murdered by the Naxalites (a violent communist movement). Many Christians were killed, and thousands of families had to flee their villages. Many of those who fled are still not able to return to their villages.]
