Oggi, 1° giugno 2007, il Santo Padre Benedetto XVI ha ricevuto in Udienza privata Sua Eminenza Rev.ma il Sig. Card. José Saraiva Martins, Prefetto della Congregazione delle Cause dei Santi. Nel corso dell'Udienza il Santo Padre ha autorizzato la Congregazione a promulgare i Decreti riguardanti:

  • un miracolo, attribuito all'intercessione della Venerabile Serva di Dio GIUSEPPA (al secolo: ENDRINA STENMANNS), Con fondatrice della Congregazione delle Serve dello Spirito Santo; nata il 28 maggio 1852 ad Issum (Germania) e morta il 20 maggio 1903 a Steyl (Paesi Bassi);

To all Sisters,

Dear Sisters,

As we celebrate our great Feast and Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity, I wish to give you the long awaited news: On 01 June, 2007, the Holy Father has authorized the Congregation for the Cause of the Saints and Blessed to promulgate the Decree concerning the miracle attributed to the intercession of our dear Mother Josepha, Hendrina Stenmanns. This was made official in the L’Osservatore Romano, yesterday, 02 June, 2007.

With this word of the Holy Father, Mother Josepha can now be proclaimed ‘Blessed’ and this great news can be made public.

Dear Sisters, let us rejoice and praise the Triune God today, for having gifted us with M. Josepha as co-Foundress, as foundation and pillar of our Congregation. She is now pointed out as a Model of holiness in a very simple and ordinary life, not only to us as Congregation, but also to the whole Church.

Today I only wish to give you this great news. All other concrete information, including the date of the Beatification, can only be given you a little later.
